Sleep Better Naturally - CBD
In the last decade, growing public interest in the benefits of marijuana, and CBD in particular, has encouraged researchers to study its effects. Early studies indicate that high dosages of CBD may support sleep.
CBD is one cannabinoid that has been found to interact indirectly with CB1 and CB2 receptors in your endocannabinoid system (ECS). These two receptors are considered by current research to be the part of the ECS that aids with pain relief, inflammation, relaxation, and therefore sleep.
CBD has the ability to reduce anxiety, which can be helpful in reducing sleep difficulties and improving sleep quality. CBD may increase overall sleep amounts, and improve insomnia, according to research. CBD has been shown to reduce insomnia in people who suffer from chronic pain.
In smaller doses, CBD stimulates alertness and reduces daytime sleepiness, which is important for daytime performance and for the strength and consistency of the sleep-wake cycle.
We formulate products that can transform how you feel, unlocking a new sense of wellbeing through the restorative power of sleep. Our range of CBD products are proven to help you fall asleep, stay asleep and wake up looking and feeling your best. Refreshed and ready to seize every day, come what may.

6-Step Process for the Highest Quality CBD
Step 1: Superior USDA Certified Organic Farming
Every product we create starts with our natural proprietary strains of hemp that are high in CBD. All of our organic hemp is grown in nutrient-rich soil in the United States on USDA certified organic farms.
Our farmers operate under strict guidelines while using state-of-the-art organic farming processes. Not only does this enhance the quality of our natural proprietary strains, but it also makes sure our products are unsurpassed in their potency, quality and consistency.
Step 2: Hemp Flower Processing
After harvest, the plants are dried. After the drying process, the buds, also referred to as flowers are removed and stored in a climate controlled environment until they are ready to be used. To create our high quality CBD oil, we do not use the leaves, stalks, seeds or stems. Just prior to the extraction process we take our buds through a milling process, similar to grinding your coffee prior to making a fresh cup of coffee.
Step 3: Proprietary Extraction
The USDA certified organic milled hemp goes through a proprietary USDA certified hemp extraction process. The extracted oil then goes through a series of USDA organic certified purification processes that produces a beautiful honey colored organic CBD oil free from solvents, pesticides, fats, waxes and other undesirable plant compounds.
Step 4: THC Removal
To make our broad spectrum oil, we have the THC removed through a proprietary USDA organic certified chromatography process. This is a unique, proprietary and expensive process which is why authentic USDA organic broad spectrum CBD products are so rare.
As you can see on our broad spectrum lab reports, our products contain no detectable (0.0%) THC.
Step 5: Product Development and Manufacturing
Our goal in the formulation of all our products is to use the highest quality organic ingredients available. As a premium CBD brand, there isn’t one place in our formulation, ingredient or component sourcing or manufacturing process where we cut corners to save money.
Step 6: Third-Party Lab Testing
Every batch we produce goes through rigorous third-party lab testing at an ISO certified lab. We have set a new bar of testing in the industry. Every batch receives the most comprehensive testing available: microbial (E. coli, yeast, mold), potency (ensuring what’s on the label is in the bottle), heavy metals (lead, arsenic, mercury and cadmium), pesticides and solvents.
Better process, better products, better results — with rest, you only get the best.
One investigation found that, compared with a placebo, a CBD dosage of 160 milligrams (mg) increased sleep duration. The researchers also concluded that the placebo, 5 mg of the insomnia drug nitrazepam, and 40, 80, and 160 mg of CBD helped the participants fall asleep. Levels of cortisol, the stress hormone, typically peak in the morning, but people with insomnia may have high cortisol levels at night. Independent of insomnia, having high cortisol levels at night is associated with an increased number of nighttime awakenings.
One study on the effects of CBD, researchers found that cortisol levels decreased more significantly when participants took 300 or 600 mg of CBD oil. These results suggest that CBD affects the release of cortisol, possibly acting as a sedative.
Several smaller studies have also supported the use of CBD oil to improve sleep. For example, a case study involving a 10-year-old girl with post-traumatic stress disorder and poor sleep was treated with CBD. A trial of 25 mg of a CBD supplement was administered at bedtime. An additional 6 to 12 mg of CBD was given via a sublingual spray during the day for anxiety. Sleep quantity and quality gradually improved over five months.
A study published in January of 2019 called “Cannabidiol in Anxiety and Sleep: A Large Case Series,” points to CBD as a hopeful sleep aid. While it looked at a small pool of only 72 adults, the study found “sleep scores improved” within the first month of CBD use in 66.7 percent of the patients, 48 adults. It attributes sleep relief to CBD’s “calming effect in the central nervous system.” Over time, the benefits fluctuated. 56 percent reported improvement in sleep after about two months of continued use.
A notable survey conducted by Project CBD examined a larger pool of 1,521 people who used CBD for issues falling and staying asleep. It found that CBD reduced the average time it took these individuals to fall asleep from 62 to 20 minutes. Users also reported waking up less throughout the night, from 4 times on average to just once with CBD. It also concluded that 75 percent of non-CBD users reported waking up tired; that number dropped to 9% for people using CBD.
Other than a sleep aid
CBD has several properties that may make it an attractive therapeutic agent.
Researchers are interested in its effects on:
- other psychiatric disorders
- nausea and vomiting
The first CBD-based medication approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is Epidiolex, which doctors prescribe to treat rare and severe forms of epilepsy.
Sativex is a CBD and THC combination medication used to help ease spasticity in people multiple sclerosis. However, the FDA has not approved this for use in the United States.
Researchers believe that CBD may also help treat or prevent:
- chronic pain
- opioid addiction
- some types of acne and other inflammatory skin conditions
- high blood pressure
- nausea as a result of chemotherapy
